Mixed Martial Arts Returns To The RBC Center

As MMA is nationally regarded, The Carolina Crown is the south’s most coveted MMA award. World caliber athletes will descend on the RBC Center to compete for The Carolina Crown title.

The ultimate in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) cage-fighting events will return to the
RBC Center as Carolina Fight Promotions presents The Carolina Crown II on Saturday, October 24.

“Last year The Carolina Crown was the largest MMA event ever held in North Carolina” said CFP President, Doug Muhle “We are excited to return to the RBC Center as this is a chance for fans to witness the awesome intensity of a world class MMA event!”

As MMA is nationally regarded, The Carolina Crown is the south’s most coveted MMA award. World caliber athletes will descend on the RBC Center to compete for The Carolina Crown title, to be awarded by UFC Legend and Hall of fame member, Royce Gracie along with CFP president, Doug Muhle.

Ten professional fights are scheduled to begin at 7:30pm with three CFP world MMA titles on the line; including title defense by current CFP world 145lb champion, Cezar Llamas. Defending his CFP world bantamweight title is Brandon Garner. JiuJitsu “wiz” Jake Whitefield fights to maintain his 170lb title. The main event boasts a rematch of Spike TV’s “The Ultimate Fighter” contestants, Lance Evans (brother of UFC Superstar Rashad Evans) versus world JiuJitsu phenomenon Vinny Magalhaes. The evening will also feature a MMA female fight as well as six amateur undercard fights that are scheduled to begin at 4:30pm.
