'Canes, PNC Arena to Collect Items for Hurricane Matthew

Contributions will be delivered to Robeson County, NC on Friday

RALEIGH, NC – Don Waddell, President of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the Hurricanes and PNC Arena will host a Hurricane Matthew Relief Drive, Wednesday, Oct. 12, through Thursday, Oct. 13. Items collected will be delivered to Robeson County on Friday, Oct. 14, for use in the relief process.

Fans wishing to contribute items may do so from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday at PNC Arena’s VIP Entrance, adjacent to the box office.

Items needed for relief include:

Water
Ready-to-eat foods (i.e., granola bars, bread, peanut butter)
Paper goods
Diapers
Baby wipes
Children’s clothing
Warm clothes (sweatpants and jackets)

UPDATE:
Additional items requested include..
Toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.)
Hand sanitizer
Pillows
Storage bins (to separate things at the shelters)
Children's toys
