Bypass Lane Coming to the RBC Center

Ground-breaking technology enables fans to order concessions via smartphones

RALEIGH, NC – Chris Diamond, Director of Food and Beverage for the RBC Center, today announced the addition of Bypass Lane to all Hurricanes home games. By teaming up with Bypass Lane, the RBC Center and Carolina Hurricanes now offer fans a convenient way to order food from the comfort of their seats.

Beginning Nov. 17, four Bypass Lanes will be available during Hurricanes and North Carolina State University men’s basketball games – Priority Lounge concession stands (Sec. 103 and 118), Sliced Italian (114) and Dos Banditos Mexican (112). This ground-breaking, mobile technology allows fans to order and pay for concessions on their smartphones, bypassing the concession lines. In addition, it allows teams and venues to streamline the ordering process and add point of sale opportunities.

Bypass Lane, an Austin-based company, is the innovative team behind the technology. By navigating to www.BypassLane.com on their smartphones (Android, Blackberry OS6, Dell mobile devices, iPhone, Palm mobile devices among others), fans can view full food and drink menus of select concessions stands in the vicinity of their seats. Fans then place their order and pay with a credit card using Bypass’ secure payment platform. A text message will be sent to the fan when their order is ready for pickup from the nearest Bypass Lane, reducing time spent waiting in lines.

Hurricanes and Wolfpack fans are encouraged to visit www.BypassLane.com to register for their free account.
